As part of the team working on the Australian Music Vault, an immersive exhibition celebrating Australian music, I was responsible for the LED mappings and tool creation necessary to bring the exhibition to life. Specifically, I created a tool that generated artnet messages to be sent to 38 different controllers at a rate of 60 frames per second. This allowed us to control the lighting and visual effects throughout the exhibition with precise timing and synchronization.
The centerpiece of the exhibition was a set of walls featuring a staggering 12,672 LEDs, which I mapped and controlled to create stunning visual displays that complemented the music and other exhibits on display. In addition to this, I also contributed to the development of two applications that provided information about the items on display in the Australian Music Vault collection.
Overall, my contributions to the project helped create an immersive and engaging experience that showcased the best of Australian music and culture, while also pushing the boundaries of what's possible with cutting-edge digital technology.
